A garbage disposal is a twenty-minute job and the call about it is a ninety-second conversation. There is correspondingly little to say here, and padding it out would only hide the four things that matter.

The quick answer

A disposal call says what the unit is doing and nothing about the kitchen it sits in. There is no form, no account and no tracker anywhere on the site. What a call records is a ZIP code, the fault, and the number it came from.

SinkGrind is a referral service, not a contractor. We connect homeowners with independent contractors. Contractors are required to hold whatever credential their state or municipality demands. Every state page sets out who licenses plumbers there and where to check, so you can confirm before work begins. We carry out no work, we sell no equipment, we do not set prices, and we never charge homeowners anything — the contractors in our network pay us when we route them a call.

One: there is nothing to fill in

No form, no quote builder, no email signup, no chat box. You cannot give this website your details because it has nowhere to put them. Every page is a fixed file that was written before you got here.

Two: dialing produces four facts

The number you called from, the time, the length of the call, and the broad area it came from. The area exists so the call can go to a contractor who covers it; the other three exist because that is what a telephone system is.

Your name is not in there. Your address is not in there. We did not ask, and a disposal call does not need either until somebody is actually coming out, at which point you are talking to them rather than to us.

Three: it reaches one contractor and stops

Whoever takes the call hears what you say about the unit — humming, jammed, leaking, smelling — because that is how they know what to bring.

Nobody else receives it. We do not sell numbers, we do not trade them, and the call does not turn into unrelated marketing later.

Four: how to have it removed

Write to [email protected] and tell us the number you called from. That number is the only index the record has, so it is the one thing we need back in order to find and delete it.
