Every town here carries its own housing mix, because that is what decides who owns the disposal and who pays to fix it.
The quick answer
How an area is built decides who owns the disposal: in a house it is usually the occupant’s appliance, in a rented apartment usually the landlord’s. Every town page carries that split, and calls route on ZIP code to a contractor covering the area.

4,387 towns across 38 states, covering 63,192,747 housing units. 2,302 of those towns are predominantly detached houses, 217 lead on multi-unit buildings and 604 have a substantial share of manufactured homes.

Why housing type is on every page
Because it answers the question that comes before the symptom. A disposal in a detached house is an owned appliance on a private drain; the same machine in an apartment is a building fixture on a shared stack. Same fault, different owner, different bill.
